Progress

Open day

Following our launch in November 2008 we held an open day in Lavenham Village Hall on March 7th 2009 to explain our ideas.

Local Produce

We have begun some land share arrangements - vegetables, fruit, salads and chickens! We also distributed free seed to a number of local vegetable growers.  Do you have some spare land?  Do you need some land to grow things on?

Members of the steering group and their guests have made a number of visits to the Greenlight Trust.

 Conservation

We have a number of electricity monitors available for members to try at home. Simple to install and they really do what it says on the box! Try one out for a week for £2.50 rental and see how much you can save on your electricity bill.

We can also help with low energy light bulbs - see us at the farmers' market and find out more about what we are doing.

How Green is your house?

Available to members of Transition Lavenham we can arrange for an energy performance certificate survey on your house. Carried out by government approved surveyors this shows how you could save money on electricity and gas bills.
